So, we are looking to cancel our cable for a while. We are about to move this year, i really only kept it for football season, and it is just getting too expensive. But, how can I watch the F1 races this season without having cable? I will obviously have the internet, but is there a site to watch the race in the US?

This is not the answer you're looking for, but I cut ties with cable about 4 years ago and somehow an still alive. I don't miss nfl our other sports. I long to watch some motogp so I understand where you're coming from with f1, but I think you'll find yourself with a similar mentality once you see how much extra money you now have. Stupid greedy corporations

Get on there at some point before the season starts and use their links to download Sopcast and AceStream, then you'll just need to click on the relevant links on the day.

I'm in the same situation as you are, but I were able to watch several races last season either on BBC's iPlayer or other places. We're always happy to share links here on oppo, just ask before the races if you haven't found anything.

I'm definitely going to keep up with it on oppo and on the FP. I just don't want the spoiler that inevitably shows up.

I'll definitely look into that one. Thanks.

Will absolutely do so. We need an oppo thread dedicated only to streaming on race day.

MotoGP is easy. They'll be HAPPY to sell you an online pass to watch every session, live or on demand.

I'm not sure why F1 hasn't launched a similar product.

I'll definitely check it out to see if i can get it to work. I've been having trouble with the atdhe sites here for football today. Hopefully F1 works better. I hear it may be an apple problem though.

I can't see any other comments today so if this hasn't been said already...wiziwig if you aren't hung up on copyright laws. I ordered the NHL's online package ($150) to watch Avalanche games, but I'm in the 'broadcast region' of the Avs so I paid that money to watch any team BUT the Avs. I asked the NHL if my $150 could go to ONLY the Avs games, and they said no. That settled the issue for me, I'll never pay another goddamn cent to watch sports.

If you don't mind not seeing the races right away, there are many legitimate sites to download these races from.

That's good news, because I don't always need to see the race at 1, 2, or 3 o'clock in the morning.
